DJ Bone Announces Line Up For Homeless Homies ADE Party: Peggy Gou, KiNK, Deetron, Spencer Parker + More

The community has always been a priority for DJ Bone, whether in the Detroit neighborhood where he grew up, went to school and worked or at the many clubs where he held residencies. It was during one of those residencies in downtown Detroit when he decided to become involved with helping the homeless people in his area. "One day, instead of just giving them some spare change I started asking every single person what they actually needed."

The day after the success of the Detroit donation drive, Dubfire graciously volunteered himself to the initiative and exchanged personal information with Ahnne and Bone's, It is time for HH to do some good in Amsterdam.

Last June, Ahnne approached Kolja Verhage with the idea of hosting a Homeless Homies event during ADE. Right then, without hesitation, the two agreed on the event date and time; October 18, 2019 10 AM to 8 PM and the ten-hour techno fundraiser was on the books.

Homies buildings in Detroit and Amsterdam where we live. Homeless Homies is just not going to be a homeless shelter, but we aim to offer free medical, dental, mental, work training, re-integration and re-entry to society as able individuals. We want to lift people back up to help get them back on their feet."

Following the success of their 'Wild' event at BPM Portugal in Portimão, the charity that is saving endangered animals through the power of music - Music Against Animal Cruelty - can now look back on another extremely successful event. The event took place on Sunday, October 6th, alongside artist and activist Robyn Ward and Sabina Ibiza hosted an exclusive art auction with Robyn's iconic 'Plastic Nation' collection.

The auction took place at the lavishing Sabina Ibiza located in the heart of the island. The 210 attending guests were treated to exclusive sets by some of the world's most in-demand DJs, including MAAC ambassador Lauren Lane and guest performances from MK and Senzela. BBC's Bargain Hunt TV expert & International auctioneer Richard Madley auctioned off pieces of Irish artist Robyn Ward's provoking 'Plastic Nation' collection. Dedicating a year of his life and work to the cause, each piece of the collection's market value sits at approximately $20,000, raising a remarkable amount of money for the charity. The proceeds from the 'Plastic Nation' auction was between two causes, and these will be determined by followers and friends of MAAC and their ambassadors through online voting via social media. The five wildlife missions shortlisted causes are:

1. Stopping the Yulin Dog Meat Festival in China.

2. Safeguarding the critically endangered Gorilla of Central Africa.

3. Protecting the Orangutan from deforestation and extinction.

4. Preserving the last Snow Leopards of the Eastern Himalaya.

5. Fight against the illegal trade of tiger bone in Asia.

Robyn Ward is essentially the definition of a truly international artist: born in Dublin, Ireland, raised in Belfast, Northern Ireland where he found his love for art via graffiti; honing his skills in studios and collectives in cities ranging from London and Amsterdam to Bangkok and Shanghai; currently living and painting in Mexico City and exhibiting in projects the world over. Taking inspiration from the world around him, he paints each series of work in different studio locations across the world and his 'Plastic Nation' collection forces audiences to confront ecological damage by bringing them face to face with large-scale paintings of the animals that our actions are endangering.

Founded by Jonny White of Art Department and longtime friend and founder of Pulse Radio, Wade Cawood, in collaboration with Tears for Tigers founder Jack Baucher, MAAC have been fundraising through dance music events since their inception in 2017. Their European debut 'Wild' event took place at Ushuaïa in 2018 with dance music royalty Black Coffee, Adam Beyer, Ida Engberg, Jamie Jones, Art Department, Bedouin to name a few. With this stellar lineup at one of the world's most iconic dance music venues, MAAC made their presence known and garnered media attention from all over the globe. Successfully hosting their first art auction, combining music and art in order to raise money for endangered animals, MAAC continues to prove they are industry trailblazers and are destined to make bold moves in 2020.

From partying in a 17th-century Balkan fortress to pool parties, beach raves or lakeside gigs, there’s something here for everyone, including some debut edition festivals.

Sea Dance Festival - Party on the Stunning Adriatic Coast in Montenegro

Aug 30th - Sept 1st

Acts: David Guetta, Robin Schulz, Sven Väth, Richie Hawtin + more

Held in Montenegro. Sea Dance Festival is an extension of the EXIT family – a gold standard guarantee in the festival world. Like EXIT, Sea Dance is also an award-winner and was voted Best Medium-Sized Festival at the European Festival Awards after its first edition in 2014. The festival bottles some of the magic of EXIT’s dance stages and transports it to the alluring golden sand beach of Budva on the Adriatic coast, with narrow medieval streets just a short walk away. EXIT’s famous No Sleep Novi Sad stage is repackaged for Sea Dance, with over 100 performers shared around numerous other stages. Even as a relatively new addition to the festival scene, Sea Dance already has a reputation for securing the biggest names in electronic music. Montenegro was recently listed by Skyscanner as the number one cheap holiday destination, with mountain biking, hiking, and water sports available for those with energy left after dancing all night to the world’s biggest DJs.

Sea Dance Day 2 NK.jpg
