One of the biggest Trance pioneers, Gareth Emery took over New York’s biggest music mecca, The Brooklyn Mirage with his sensational Laserface event presented by Made Event. This was the first open-air Laserface event. After a widely successful show in Miami and again in New York the sold-out show, Laserface is one of the biggest highlights at The Brooklyn Mirage and the summer has just begun. One of the things people love at events and festivals are the lasers. Usually, they appear once in while during sets and some are just sad to attempt. Gareth Emery brought back laser production and with full force.
Laserface is the unbelievably mind-blowing live show featuring the music of Gareth Emery perfectly choreographed to the lasers of globally renowned show designer Anthony Garcia. A perfect collaboration between music and technology, the show features previously unprecedented numbers of lasers alongside bleeding-edge new technologies exclusive to the show.
After hearing incredible stories of their experiences at Mana Wynwood, Miami at the recent Miami Music Week, I had to go see Gareth Emery Laserface show at The Brooklyn Mirage. It was a while since the last Trance show and a long time since I last saw icon Gareth Emery. It was his song that made me fall in love with Trance, it was his albums and performances that got me captivated with Trance and the scene. Gareth Emery is a genius in making Trance and a wise person by staying true to his roots and creating Laserface.
The beginning of the night started with New York local DJ Adam Scott with a forceful set, a perfect crowd warmer. Adam Scott played tracks from Anjunabeats and Armada, and some classical Trance tracks. On the lineup for New York’s edition of Laserface was progressive artist Alastor. It was the first time seeing Alastor perform and it won’t the last with his mixture of techno and trance. More people were arriving the crowd was getting massive. You had to find the perfect spot to get the full spectrum of the lasers.
Gareth Emery takes the stage at The Brooklyn Mirage the entire dance-floor was completely packed, it was difficult to move around with all the people around. The moment the music came on everyone roared with excitement. You can feel the energy and excitement build up at a rapid rate. Just rethinking about it, and reliving it brings goosebumps and all the feels again. Honestly who needs stuff to get you high when you can attend a Gareth Emery Laserface show. The lasers were flashing intensely, lasers were in our faces. Gareth Emery played iconic Trance songs such as Take Everything, Never Before, Saving Light, and Concrete Angel. Everyone singing along to every track, the crowd knew every word to every song. It was like breathing in fresh air being at Laserface. It truly was the best event at The Brooklyn Mirage, the people, the music, the vibes were all beautiful and sensual.
The Laserface tour will stop in Ibiza on September 8th and Minneapolis on October 26th for a Halloween event. Gareth Emery will bring his enhanced lasers infused with new technology, fresh new music including his upcoming album alongside Ashley Wallbridge. Immerse yourself in Laserface.
