The day couldn’t be any more perfect, the sun was shining bright, the temperature was delicious and the vibes were pure. On this stunning day at The Brooklyn Mirage, label boss Lee Burridge brought his breathtaking All Day I Dream daytime party event this past Sunday. For its Summer Season Opening of 2019, Lee Burridge and artists YokoO, Hoj, and new dreamer Roy Rosenfeld traveled to New York for one incredible celebration.
All Day I Dream began on a New York rooftop in June 2011, where Lee Burridge first began his new musical direction that ventured into the melodic and melancholic sounds of house and techno which have since grown enormously in popularity. What began as a dream then transformed into reality, All Day I Dream has gained a beautiful community of girls and boys who love to spend their afternoons dancing to emotive, gorgeous house and techno are in for a treat.
Arriving just at the end of Hoj’s set, the open air palace was decorated with gorgeous vines and flowers transforming the entire place into All Day I Dream. This year they completely outdid with decorations, better than any year at Brooklyn. Burners all around, people holding parasols, friends meeting up with friends you can feel the powerful vibes from all around. ADID always has the most beautiful crowd.
Arriving early so we can get the full spectrum of the event, exploring all realms of All Day I Dream. New dreamer Roy Rosenfeld took over the decks playing outstanding melodic techno set with tracks such as Rumbala, Megakraft, and Gran Poema. Setting the tone and the vibe beautifully. It was the first time seeing him perform live, but it won’t be the last after that prolific set. The crowd was getting larger by the minutes, the dance-floor began to fill up rapidly. ADID member Yokoo took over the stage with a euphoric set playing all types of melodic techno. Playing All Day I Dream tracks such as Euneirophrenia, Orenda, Lost In A Moment, and Tranatism. Each artist had their own unique storytelling style to the day. Taking the crowd on a mystical and magical ride.
The blissful energy continues with headliner Lee Burridge to close out the night at All Day I Dream. Playing one of the best sets of all time at an All Day I Dream event. Last time seeing Lee was in February. Lee Burridge played a solid three-hour set playing all different tracks. Taking the crowd on a whirlwind of uplifting vibes and beautiful music such as Vision from DSF, original tracks like Elongi, and, Mona Yo. Along with some unreleased tracks. Standing beside Lee and looking into the crowd seeing all the happy faces, everyone was having a great time. You can feel the powerful energy from everyone, dancing together like one giant family. Someone brought a sign that said on one side “Hug Now” and the other side “Hug A Stranger” once Lee Burridge had the sign he danced with it and then made everyone read it and hug a stranger so that everyone could share the love and the wonderful vibes. As it was closing to an end, Lee mixes the iconic 90’s track Bittersweet Symphony from The Verve within his melodic techno sounds, the crowd went insane and cheered and whistled with satisfaction. Lee Burridge is a wizard, a magic man that transcends his music and passion to create vibes and memories with his dreamer's community. It was the best All Day I Dream at Brooklyn Mirage of all time, the music was superb, the weather was perfect, the people and vibes made the entire experience sublime. As the community grows stronger each and every year with the experiences created at All Day I Dream and spreading globally sharing the dream with everyone. We are all dreamers in a way, dreaming about their career, life goals, and love that’s what makes up All Day I Dream, the artists, and the community.
All Day I Dream will return to The Brooklyn Mirage on Sunday, September 15th for its Summer Season Closing event. As Lee Burridge will once again bring his pure vibes to create the utopia we all love. Brooklyn can’t wait to dance with Lee Burridge again.
