When techno titans collide, it's bound that magic will be created and that’s what happened at Innervisions New York which took place on May 17th. Innervisions creator Dixon took over The Knockdown Center along with heavyweights duo Âme (DJ) , DJ Koze, Jennifer Cardini, and Trikk. It was Innervisions US debut event of the year. Due to last year’s abrupt cancellation, the Innervisions event did not hold back from producing some of the greatest techno sounds that night.

Knockdown Center in Queens, a former factory with over a century of history and now transformed into innovative art and performance space, will play host to Innervisions for 8 hours of nonstop music and dancing.

As night turns to dawn the sunlight starts to illuminate through the windows. It was a beautiful sight to see. A beat was forming within the techno, it sounded very familiar. I was saying to myself I know this, then it clicked! It’s “Relax” the popular 80s track by Frankie Goes To Hollywood. I told my friends what the track was, then you can distinctively hear RELAX and everyone lost it. I was so proud of myself when I was able to name the track within the first couple of baselines. Closing out their set with the iconic 80s tune turning into a melodic techno finale.

Innervisions NY was one of the best events this year, a perfect season starter for the summer months. As Innervisions make their way throughout the world, there is one show that will truly stand out from the rest.
