Lyft is partnering with Detroit native and global electronic music artist GRiZ this Memorial Day weekend. Back in Detroit to perform at the city's annual Movement Electronic Music Festival, GRiZ and Lyft are teaming up to give back to Detroit students though Lyft's Round Up and Donate program.

Lyft riders headed to the music festival will have the option to make donations to the Detroit Public School Foundation through Lyft's Round Up & Donate program. All of the funds raised over the weekend will be matched dollar for dollar and donated to Seven Mile, an organization that provides free music, arts, and coding lessons to youth in inner city areas of Detroit. GRiZ has previously supported Seven Mile through his annual GRiZMAS celebrations – a 12-day event series in Detroit that he created to raise funds for music and arts education programs in the city's public schools.

"I love my hometown of Detroit and I'm stoked to pair my show with a way to give back to it. It's all about funding creative arts programs in Detroit public schools and Lyft makes it easy. Always happy to support DPSF and Seven Mile however I can." - GRiZ

The public can opt in to Round Up & Donate through the Donate menu in the Lyft app, select Detroit Public School Foundation as the donation cause, and Lyft will round up the ride fare and donate the difference. This weekend only, Lyft will be matching donations in benefit of Seven Mile.

"I'm proud of Lyft's Round-Up & Donate program because it gives our riders the ability to support Detroit schools and students. Having GRiZ use his platform to shine a light on this program is incredible and we're thrilled to be raising even more funds in partnership with DPSF." - Elliot Darvick, General Manager, Lyft Michigan
