Carl Cox makes his anticipated return to New York, presented by Teksupport in an open-air event which took place this past June 16th. The 52 street of Brooklyn were flooded with techno fans for another epic performance from the king. Between the structure of the open-air venue and sound-system Teksupport completely outdid themselves. All acts played to the fullest and the food trucks were divine.
An iconic setting along with perfect vibes, the Carl Cox & Friends event completely sold out. The day party began at 5 PM and ended until the late night hours. Previous acts included NY natives Avision and Frankie Bones Frankie Bones. UK house and techno duo Dense & Pika who played a dark and defying set, an excellent warm-up set before the king. The sun was setting over the open-air event and the weather was warm and breezy - a picture perfect day.
Carl Cox approaches the stage and says “Hello NY! It’s so good to be back!” - the crowd roars from excitement. His set was absolute perfection, Carl Cox orchestrated the crowd in unison, the dark hums and bass chords piercing to the chore like a sharp knife piercing the soul. Two hours deep in the crowd roars for more, people moving and grooving to the beat. With every build up and drop, the crowd danced and applauded to every tune. The clock struck midnight but the party did not end, the music was blasting through the speakers, people were dancing like nobody was watching. When in NY, there are no rules! What was supposed to be a 3-hour set turned into playing a 4-hours, playing till a few minutes past 1 AM. Leaving people in complete awe. Last time seeing the king was in Miami, the vibes and crowd do not even compare seeing Carl Cox in NY.
Carl Cox will continue his summer tour in Ibiza where he will perform across multiple months and in just as many venues. From Pacha to Privilege, the music man will criss-cross the white isle and prove, once again, why he is King Carl!
Another sublime performance from Carl Cox the king of techno, it was ideal seeing all techno friends it truly made the experience superb. Only time will tell until Carl Cox returns to New York, again.
