French producer and DJ, Tchami presented his project CONFESSION this past Friday at Brooklyn’s hotspot Avant Gardner with the help from Made Events. As the founder of the CONFESSION Label, Tchami created a platform to promote artists including Malaa, Mercer, AC Slater, 4B, Madskies, Dombresky, Brohug, Loge21, Angelz, Wax Motif, Nathaniel and Dustycloud, independently on global scale.
With Support from, Brohug and Noizu - they both certainly brought the house down with their vibrant and uplifting sets. By the time I arrived Brohug was tearing up the decks with his distinctive style of sound. Mixing up tracks into perfect transitions with Kanye’s I Love It, Fisher’s Losing It and his collaboration with Tchami entitled My Place featuring Reece. Brohug played a solid set that lasted till 1 AM then it was time for Tchami to take over the decks.
As a longtime follower and fan of Tchami its be a while since the last performance which was at a little warehouse in Brooklyn a few years ago. This time it’s a new location, music, vibes, crowd, and goals for the deep house artist. It’s pretty incredible how an artist evolves through their music over the last few years. When Tchami approached the decks the entire crowd roared from excitement, given that it was a younger crowd - 18+ everyone was pumped for Tchami. Playing all different tracks with mix sub-genres, Tchami gave the crowd exactly what they wanted. Tchami played tracks from his CONFESSION label such as Shade and Get Down, plus including a couple of tracks from Malaa. As well as a few other popular house tracks such as Chris Lake & Green Velvet’s collaboration Deceiver and an unreleased remix from Tchami of Adam Beyer & Bart Skills - Your Mind. It was a completely different show since his last performance, it was a real treat and great experience to the talented artist play again.
Tchami continues his CONFESSION Tour stopping at cities such as Montreal, Toronto and Boston. Tchami will complete his CONFESSION tour on December 8th at Atlantic City’s HQ 2 before the New Year where he will perform a couple of festivals. After a few sold out shows on his CONFESSION tour, its easy to say that this was a huge success for Tchami.
