Beaches, bars and clubs along the shores of Zrce Beach while techno fans are dancing alongside some of the biggest names in the techno scene. This is Sonus Festival.
Croatia is growing as the ultimate party destination. Every August, Sonus festival comes to the beautiful island of Pag. The festival takes place along Zcre Beach with a massive 5 day/night event, with after and boat parties.
Croatia, and specially Pag island is one of the largest islands in the country. Unpolluted water, sandy beaches, breathtaking landscapes and great nightlife, all makes it one of the most beautiful islands in Europe.
The line up offers a wide array of artists and genres that will have you dancing from start to finish . From global artists like Sam Paganini, Tini, Jesse Calosso, The Martinez Brothers, Guti, Seth Troxler, Len Faki, Jackmaster and Monika Kruse to locals like Andrea Ljekaj, Mini, Felver, and Josip Milkovic.
Zrce Beach is one of Croatia’s most spectacular beaches. Despite the number of people who flock there throughout the summer, it has a blue flag, which basically means it’s clean, safe, and has toilets.
Zrce has all the ingredients for an unforgettable experience, and is lined with open-air clubs with evocative names such as Aquarius, Papaya, Noa, Kalypso and Euphoria that pump out the beats all night and day.
If you need a break from the decibel levels, parascending, water slides and other watersports will also provide plenty of thrills.
All in all, there’s no chance of getting bored.

- How do I get to Zrce Beach/Novalja?
The nearest airport to the festival is Zadar Airport, around 50km away, and is served by destinations across much of Europe. If you’re travelling from Italy and Spain, you’ll have to fly to Split Airport, 200km from the festival. Airport transfers to the festival are available.
BUS FROM ZADAR TO NOVALJA: There are just a handful of buses running this route per day. It’s a shorter journey, about 1hr 30 mins – again, BusCroatia will give times – and will cost €10-15.
FROM SPLIT: The best route from Split to Novalja is:
TAXI TO TROGIR: A taxi to the nearby town of Trogir will be about €25-30 for a large car (4-8 passengers).
BUS FROM TROGIR TO ZADAR: There are many departures each day, but they can be irregular. Search for BusCroatia for exact times, and expect to pay between €12 and €19. The journey lasts around 2 hrs 40 mins. From here, you will need to board another bus onto Novalja.
Or check the festival website for airport transfers, international buses, boat accommodation and more.
