The latest release off of Hoj and Lee Burridge’s new label, Tale & Tone, comes the Hunter EP from longtime collaborator and friend, Lost Desert. Bringing his trademark grooves to the helm, the EP is complete with perfect melodic chords and distant sounds that feel like you were floating on a cloud.
The two-track release is a highly innovative emotion pairing of tunes with the A-Side, Hunter, enlisting Amari and vocalist Adomas, which was featured at All Day I Dream party at The BPM Festival: Portugal. The title track sees Lost Desert & Amari utilize piano chords infused over rough percussion to create an infectious groove to match the tender vocals of Adomas.
Hunter is followed by, Innercity Playground, featuring the collaborative efforts of Mike Tohr. With moving lust percussion, Lost Desert and Mike Tohr create a stunning tune, further pushing the House sound boundaries that the Tale and Tone Crew is becoming known for.
The EP release arrives soon after Tale and Tone’s debut of the Cornucopia EP, which held the #1 spot on Beatport’s New Releases and made its way onto Beatport’s Top 10 overall chart. As well as pioneer Pete Tong declaring Hunter as his Essential New Tune of September, the pairing of these standout releases has cut a definitive niche for Hoj and Lee Burridge’s budding imprint, offering a new favorite for those seeking a new tune to journey through the cosmic house sound.
